We were approached by events company Mission with a commercial brief to create paper installations for an upcoming UK press day for their Client Watch Station otherwise known as the Fossil Group. Fossil create watches, bags, jewellery and accessories for lots of other brands including: Michael Kors, Emporio Armani, Diesel, Karl Lagerfeld, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Skagen, Armani Exchange, Marc Jacobs, Misfits and DKNY. All of which would be showcasing their new collections at the London press day.
We worked closely together to design four 3D paper cut train stations, the theme of the press day being international train travel. We decided on London’s Kings Cross St Pancras, Union Station in Washington, USA, Rossio station in Lisbon, Spain and The Wave Station, Reggio Emilia, Italy.
These papercut stations would be installed in vintage suitcases, with the watches and accessories displayed in the flat areas.
This project was on an extremely tight deadline, but we worked hard and pulled together as a team and got the job done on time!
It was fantastic working with two other amazing artists, who I will be working closely with in the future under the umbrella of Fingers Crossed Paper. Stay tuned for more exciting projects!
